Google and Pinterest have combined and optimized together so that google images now returns Pinterest heavy results. Wow! I call that an epic example of google favoritism in a non resourceful way. Fail. Google it. In the meantime. I am into geometry.

DIEM design intersects everything made

I had the opportunity to attend a really great design symposium in West Hollywood last week, and was fortunate enough to walk away inspired and reminded that I am doing what I love.

The attendees included many eager and prominent open minds in design and art in Los Angeles. Among the designers and artists and scholars within the discipline of aesthetic and value and between definition.

I go back to my studio with a renewed sense of clarity within my craft ready to hunt and create.

These pieces are part of a series I did in 2009, exploring the elements of fantasy and technology and the ever present dynamic of progress and the idea of development and it's effect on the natural and organic world. Much of what we know to be is based on an idea that is either perceived or proven. I have been fascinated by the concept of natural evolution and the seemingly destructive elements that arise from this progress. Within progress lies change and within change there is destruction and therefore creation. 

Horizon Lines are an ever present geometrical divide in my work providing a semblance of balance.
